Paketentwicklung findet in mehreren Kategorien statt...

 1. ''Projekt eigene Pakete'': Pakete, die nur innerhalb des Projekts IT-Zukunft Schule relevant sind und nicht in Debian bereit stehen bzw. für den Upload nach Debian vorbereitet werden.
 1. ''Debian Paket Backports'': Ganz aktuelle Pakete aus ''Debian unstable'' lassen sich oft mit wenig Aufwand für die jew. Debian stable Distribution bauen und zu Installation bereit stellen. Die offizielle Webseite für Backport-Pakete ist die Webseite des [[http://www.backports.org|Debian-Backports Projekts]]. Nicht immer ist das Bereitstellen von offiziellen Backports aus Sicht von IT-Zukunft Schule sinnvoll. In solch einem Fall erstellen wir eigene Backport-Pakete von Software in Debian Unstable.
 1. ''Vorschau auf bald erscheinende Debian Pakete'': Sind wir an der Entwicklung von Debian Paketen direkt oder indirekt beteiligt, stellen wir unter Umständen diese Software schonmal als Vorschaupakete auf unserem [[Technik/Paketarchiv|Paketserver]] bereit.
